We (Texas Restaurant Association) are looking at starting a Chef/Restaurateur fitness challenge in 09. I think this will be a great program and after polling a few of our members and Corporate Partners they really like the idea. I wanted to get your thoughts to see if Chefs and Restaurateurs alike would be interested in this kind of competition? We would also tie in healthy menu choices, recipes, detailed fitness program and maybe a 5k road race.

Thank you for reaching out. I have a few co-workers who think it maybe hard to get chefs to take the time to participate. I am an avid runner and find making the time easy but for someone like a Chef or a Restaurateur who is always in the kitchen or restaurant it maybe a little harder. But I think it could be a great opportunity to start a program that will effect the health of our members in a positive way.
I know I just through this idea out but what do you think would be the best way for FohBoh to get involved? I think I have an idea but I am interested in your thoughts as you know your business much better than I do.
