Baristas are passionate about coffee, and enthusiastic about the work that they perform. Barista are coffee bartenders and use skills and expertise to create specialty coffee experiences. Unfortunately, they are frustrated by the confusing menu items and lack of sophistication by many coffeehouses that create confusion and misunderstanding in the trade and amongst consumers.
I agree with you about the confusing coffee menu -- I keep mine short and sweet, and I dont offer a lot of what I call "the foo-foo drinks" some coffeehouses serve. I would rather focus on the coffee and not the stuff that gets added to it.
