I've seen a few dangerous drinks in my day, and had more than a few. What would you consider the world's most dangerous drink? See link below for David's Wondrich's insight on The Blue Blazer:

Hm. Doesn't sound that dangerous to me. No more dangerous than a flambe dessert or a flaming glass of Sambuca. I was expecting the drink to contain some kind of vile toxic substance...but flaming alcohol isn't particularly dangerous, unless you've had a few too many before deciding to light one on fire. :)
Seems I remember the guy who played Grizzly Adams on the TV show (showing my age a bit) caught himself on fire with some sort of flaming drink - probably more a result of his huge beard versus the danger-level of the drink.

When I was serving tables I remember a shot of [vodka?] that was topped with a slice of lemon, sugar, then doused in Bacardi 151 and set on fire. Groups would order ten at a time and I saw my share of scorched bar-tops. More dangerous for the owner than customer I suppose.

On a personal note, I had a drink called Rocket Fuel at Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans when I was in college. At least, I think I had the drink - that's what people told me - because I've no recollection of the rest of the evening. Dangerous is relative.
Yeah me too. Ouch
No relation to the old Mickey's Big Mouth Hand Grenades, I assume?

Here's a good example of how NOT to drink a flaming sambuca. (Sorry about the link, I couldn't embed the video)
Most dangerous you ask.....tequila.....over and over and over and over and over....
There's a reason why we used to call it "to-kill-ya". :)
In my server days, I used to make allot of money doing tableside Cafe Diablo.

Kahlua, Grand Marnier and Amaretto all flamed down a clove studded orange rind into a chafer of hot coffee with a cinnamon stick. THEN, you would flame each sugar rimmed glass with the same Kahlua, Grand Marnier and Amaretto mixture to caramelize the sugar (passing the flame from glass to glass, while trying not to shatter the glass by getting it too hot). The finished beverage was poured into the caramelized sugar rimmed glass and topped with fresh whipped cream.

BTW, I accidentally dumped one of these scorchers into the lap of one of my regulars during a dinner with his boss. He still payed the full tab (even though I offered to comp the whole dinner), tipped me 25%, and invited me to his house for Christmas dinner.
Doug
Great one Doug! ...and I thought it was bad dropping a tray of water into my boss's mom's lap...I almost forgot about Cafe Diablo, that one really is dangerous (for servers and guests alike as you can attest). I always stood in amazement watching the drinks be made.
